Well, last day was a great one. We slept late and had a good breakfast. We went to the Ford theater and heard the ranger tell the story of Lincoln's assiantion. We then went to the Washington Inmonument and rode to the observation platform. Awesome views!!! We then rented bikes and rode around both sides of the White House. Then we had a great ride around the tidal basin. We rode up to the Jefferson memorial and then finished up around the basin at twilight. It was one of the coolest things we did. The bike was a great way to get around wished we had done that more. Way better than walking. Will get some pics up when I can get them all uploaded to laptop. Hope everyone enjoyed keeping up with our trip. We lookforward to getting home.

Spy museum/Air and Space
Had a great fun filled day today. Started with the Spy Museum and had a blast. Did the spy mission on the streets with a gps which was neat since we did it in light rain. Then spent a couple of hours in the museum and finished with an interactive "mission" operation spy.
Left there and went to the Air/Space museum which was awesome. There was a Docent led tour that we got in on and it lasted 2 hrs. A very cool way to see the highlights. He was very knowledgeable and interesting. He had a rocket science engineering degree!! Finished the day with a 3-d IMAX film on the Hubble telescope. Stopped and ate Mexican food at Doria's and had the same waiter Anthony. He was great and the food was delicious. Going to Mt Vernon and Arlington tomorrow.
John-Clark is doing much better and having a blast. Everyone is super tired from all the walking but the sights are great.

John-Clark is doing good. Dr's office was great. He even got to swim on his b-day.We are going to spy museum tomorrow which is what he has been looking forward to. Had some chinese food tonight. Good day today. Not as much walking. We are having fun. We feel like we are locals riding the metro and eating at local places. Just ordered some "flippin pizza". Stay tuned.
Happy Birthday to John-Clark!!! Unfortunatly, we are at an urgent care clinic waiting to see a doctor. JC , we believe, has an ear infection. The Android has been so cool locating a doctor using my DC metro app to find a train to clinic and then using gps to walk to clinic. Luckly it was right next to metro station. We had tour of pentagon which was o.k. but not very exciting. Depending on what doc says, plan to swim this evening. Stay tuned!

Day 2
Well today was another day of extensive walking!! Saw some great sights, and the crowds are getting bigger every hour. Spent most of the day in the American History museum. The cafeteria on the lower level was pretty impressive. We had a night tour of the monuments by bike that was cancelled due to storms. We were eating at the food court in Union Station during the storm and didn't know it was raining. We get to reschedule the tour or get a refund. As we were walking back to hotel, saw tree limbs down in the streets and newspaper machines blown over. It was the top story on local news. Weather was so nice after storm went through. Tomorrow should be a big day, crowds expected to be 800,000-1,000,000 people!
Dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence at the National Archives followed by the National parade. Hope the weather holds.

Day 1
We had a great afternoon as Carey came up from North Caroliana via Amtrack. Got use to the Metro which is fantastic. I had gotten a D.C. Metro app for phone which made it easy to use. Had a good free breakfast (thanks Hiltonhhonors). Rode metro to American History museum. The orig "Star Spangled Banner" was awesome! Crowds are beginning to increase but the weather is pretty nice. It's hot but not like home. Heading to Air and Space next.
